JILL ABUSCH
The Challenge
10% of us actually get a charge out of speaking publicly, while 10% of us get so terrified at the thought of speaking publicly that we are immobilized. That leaves 80% of us who fall somewhere in between - we get nervous, maybe even very nervous, but in the end - with the right preparation...

The Coach
Jill has coached individuals and professionals in a number of different industries, for a wide variety of speaking engagements. She has prepared authors, shop owners, entrepreneurs, consultants, and teachers for formal speeches, smaller workshops, TV and radio appearances...
The Process
For Jill, the goal in Public Speaking Coaching is to find the confident, present, mindful, and prepared speaker in all of her clients. Her experience has demonstrated that the route to achieving this goal includes an individualized approach that is as unique as her clients themselves.
The Client
"Jill was a big help in improving how we relate to our customers during an auction. She first came and she spent serious time learning about our business. She then came to the auctions and looked at all aspects of our presentation. Her incites, perspectives, guidance and vision were all greatly appreciated and very useful. I am very thankful for her efforts and very happy with our work together.” ~ Jeff Zacharia, President, Zachys
PUBLIC SPEAKING
& PERFORMANCE COACH
The human attention span is currently estimated at eight seconds, according to a study conducted by Microsoft. That’s one second less than that of a goldfish. As a public speaker, you risk losing your audience every eight seconds. (Unless you are talking to a roomful of fish, in which case, you’ve got nine seconds.) Being an engaging speaker is more important than ever - you are competing with distractions you can't even see! It isn’t enough to be good, you have to be great.
You don’t have to be born a great public speaker in order to deliver great speeches. Speaking publicly is an art that can be practiced and perfected. With the right preparation, anyone can become a good speaker….and good speakers can become great speakers.
Jill implements techniques from her 20+ year career in the theatre to help clients achieve that difficult balance between bringing their genuine selves to their audience while also rising to the somewhat performative nature of the public speaking arena. The work is fast-paced, fun, on-your-feet, and totally individualized, allowing each client to tap into what makes them uniquely engaging. With Jill's help, and with a variety of new techniques, clients are able to harness those unique qualities and maximize them for the most effective speech possible.
